Nina was born in Sweden and was always drawn to alternative traditions. She first tried yoga after her daughter was born in 2002 and in 2005 she started practising regularly. In 2009, Nina discovered the Iyengar yoga method and that was it – she just loves the way it makes her feel. Five years later, she got her teaching qualification and hasn’t looked back.
Her passion for sharing the benefits of yoga comes from the tremendous benefits it has brought to her own life. She is always the student – Nina’s own learning continues at classes and workshops with local and visiting teachers such as Abhijata Iyengar, Zubin Zarthoshtimanesh, Mary Obendorfer, Eddy Marks, Stephanie Quirke, Eyal Shifroni, Garth Mclean, Aisling Quirke, Eileen Cameron, and many more.
About Nina’s classes & workshops
Nina takes her experience from what she have learned in her own practice and teaching and make the classes to suit all abilities. Iyengar yoga focus on alignment and precision and are a mix of standing, seated, back bends and restorative postures.
The idea of meditation in action is a keynote of the Iyengar system. Body and mind are stretched beyond their everyday limits and begin to act in unison.
We use props where needed, to be able to achieve postures, when the body might not get there yet on its own or due to stiffness or old injuries. Iyengar yoga is suitable for everyone.
